GEOFABRICS AUSTRALASIA RENEWS ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION
Leading geosynthetic manufacturer and supplier, Geofabrics Australasia Pty Ltd strengthens its commitment to their customers with superior quality management by renewing ISO 9001:2015 certification in the Albury manufacturing facility. The Albury manufacturing facility produces Bidim Green and Sealmac Green Geotextiles, and Megaflo Green Panel Drains which are well-known in the industry for their quality and durability.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a globally recognised standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. It contains a framework for a business that can demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory, and regulatory requirements. It aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement. This standard also contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) 1, 9, 12 and 14.
By adapting and adhering to requirements set out by ISO 9001:2015, Geofabrics is ensuring continual improvements are implemented at its Albury and Ormeau manufacturing plants. Receiving and retaining ISO certification demonstrates Geofabrics ongoing efforts to delivering high quality product solutions that help customers solve environmental challenges.
Local content, sustainability and creating local jobs are the key pillars driving the Geofabrics business. Since Geofabrics is the only geosynthetic manufacturer in Australia, they have registered Megaflo® Green Panel Drains, Elcorock® Geotextile Containers and Filterwrap® Non-Woven Geotextiles to carry the Australian made logo – Australia’s most trusted, recognised and widely used country of origin symbol. All these initiatives provide customers with the assurance that locally made products are subject to strict environmental regulations and ensure higher safety and quality standards.
Geofabrics CEO & Managing Director Dennis Grech comments, “ISO 9001:2015 Certification is not only important to Geofabrics, but more so to our customers. As a supplier of highly engineered and complex products, Geofabrics takes very seriously our responsibility to customers and the broader community. We make products in Australia that are environmentally safe and assists in de-risking customer projects. Achieving recertification provides confidence to our customers that Geofabrics remains a safe bet. If your geotextile is not made in an Australian factory to ISO standards, the risk profile for your project is increased. We are proud to share our accreditation with our customers and take great satisfaction in taking customers and other stakeholders through our Australian manufacturing plants to share with them the pride we have in making our products locally.”
